Pray for Encounter

Psalm 89:1
I will sing of the LORD's great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.

Encounter is our All Generations Worship Service. Please pray for the growth of our members as we embark on creating a special service to be worshipped jointly by all family members from children, to students, to single adults, to married couples, to parents, to our elders. Pray that the Holy Spirit works amongst us to understand the importance of a shared worship service across all ages. As we need to have family dinners together, we as a Christian family need to share worship together. Pray that the Holy Spirit works with the organizers to create a pleasing worship experience, so people can come into the kingdom of God.

This service will be a monthly event on the first Friday of every month. Our first service is April 4 at 8pm in the main sanctuary.

Angel Tree Christmas Ministry

The forgotten victims of crime are the little children of inmates, who are left without a father or mother. Angel Tree helps break this cycle of crime by sharing the love of Jesus Christ with the children of inmates. Specifically, each Christmas our church sets up a Christmas tree with the names of children in the program. Members are encouraged to take a name and buy and wrap a gift for that child. Gifts are then given to these children so that they can enjoy the spirit of the holidays even if they are unable to spend it with their parent. Please give accordingly.

Meanwhile, we need volunteers to help with the whole process. If you can give your time & energy, please contact Kiok Chon  kchon@optonline.net or Kris Kim kriskim@optonline.net. This year, the volunteers will personally present the gifts to the children. Imagine their joy as you share the gift-giving and the Good News with the precious children of God.

Mosaic Picnic

Saturday June 9th 11:00am

Hello Everyone,
Our first picnic as Mosaic Community was a lot of fun! The Welch Beach was simply awesome! And the food~well, for those of us that had the privilege of consuming them, GREAT. But, for those that didn’t~you shouldn’t miss it the next time around. Daniel Lee [from Fort Lee] put on a cooking show at the park. Not only his LA style galbi, one of the best ever, but his kong-na-mul was incredible. However, his on the spot “baked salmon” was quite an experience.

Not to mention Peter’s olympic games, Kris’ pasta, Kristine’s cold noodle salad, Claudia’s specially seasoned flank steaks~wow! Michael’s chilly hot dogs were a sight to see. YoungGul and his friend’s BBQ skills were simply artistic!

But, one of the best sights that caught my attention was how our next generation children were playing together at the park. Their fun included, a water balloon toss that turn into a pelting match, siamese twin balloon race with patents, relay race with multiple batons, to repeated attempts at flying kite–that never really airborne, to a simple walk to the beach and making sand castles… The older ones were looking after and caring for the younger ones. Laughing and running around, having fun. I couldn’t help but think, how good it must be for our God in heaven to see His children run around laughing and having fun at church.

Thank you so much for making this day a one to remember for a long long time. And let’s be intentional about laughing more, increasing the fun-ometer at Mosaic, becoming more like God’s children… It was a great day! And I look forward to next Saturday! -
