“…Love your neighbor as yourself…”
Put simply, it could be restated as “Love one another”. This command, part of the Great Commandment given by Jesus, forms the basis for the Ministry Pillar of Mosaic Christian Fellowship.
Mission:
To inspire and enable our members to put love into action by serving one another - each according to the unique mix of gifts and passions that he/she has been given.
Tenets:
#1 Our Lord commands us to do more than indulge in a warm and cozy moment where our hearts go out to certain individuals – and little else. This is a command to action. Love that does not follow up with action is not love at all.
1 John 3:18 Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
#2 Love takes many shapes and forms - chief among them is service. Love is as much shared in the small acts of service that more often than not go unseen and seemingly unappreciated as in the heroic acts that are seen by all. Service rendered in love finds its reward in the act itself and seeks nothing in return – for such is the nature of genuine love.
Galatians 5:13 You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature ; rather, serve one another in love.
#3 Every single person, yes even you, has a role to play in this body.
1 Corinthians 12:12 12 The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.
