The name comes from the idea that we are all individuals who come together to create something larger than ourselves. In fact, we believe that the church to be the church that God desires must come together in loving community. During college John came to a greater appreciation of Christianity, even though he grew up in the church. He is fourth generation Presbyterian. After college he attended seminary in Philadelphia where he had the privilege of studying with his favorite professor, Harvey Conn, a missionary. John’s desire to have a better understanding of Christianity led him to study classics and ancient history. Currently, he is finishing up his Ph.D. in history and excited to serve the Lord. He is also married with two children.
